District 7 includes Highland Park and a large part of northwest Detroit with 8 Mile Rd. at its northernmost, and with the Davison Freeway and US 10 both carved through it. Anita Belle joined the Green Party because it was the only party with Reparations in its platform. Anita Belle presents the case for financially compensating the descendants of former slaves in the United States. Anita Belle is the President of the Reparations Labor Union, the co-chair of the Detroit Chapter of the National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America (NCOBRA), a member of NCOBRA's National Board of Directors, was active as the Group Leader of the Detroit Chapter of the Green Party, a member of the Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History, a member of the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue, a member of the Temple of Forbidden Knowledge (about the Medu Neter), and a member of the Urban Information Network. A native Detroiter, she graduated Henry Ford High School and Wayne State University, and holds a law degree from the University of Florida.
