Mike Smith

Hello, my name is Mike Smith, and I am the Green Party candidate for Indiana State Representative, District 97. I am a US Army specialist with 4 years of active duty, now a veteran with honorable discharge.

Along with all of the Green values, I'm especially fighting pushing for a Universal Basic Income. UBI is needed because of the state's history of union busting and its refusal to increase wages. I'm also fighting for community land trusts so that people can truly stand up against predator developers. I'm fighting to get all Hoosiers on wind power. And I'm fighting for police reform and public schools. I will fight for a non-corporate agenda, unlike the incumbent who takes big money, I don't.
